About the podcast

Two coaches. One conversation.

Conrad has spent his life growing things: on a family farm, in the Air Force, across more than a decade of building businesses. Shannon has spent hers helping leaders in some of the world's most demanding environments stay whole while doing the hardest work there is. Different paths, one conviction. This podcast is the conversation they kept wanting to have.

Their shared belief: leadership isn't reserved for the corner office. It's a practice, available to anyone willing to show up with courage, compassion, and integrity, wherever they are in the world.

Why we made this

Leadership coaching should be accessible.

"When we bring our whole selves to serve the needs of our communities, we leverage our strengths and humanity to live and lead fully." Shannon Salentine

Most leadership content targets the executive. We built Everyday Leader for the team lead, the changemaker, the first-time manager, and the coach. The conversations you'll hear aren't theoretical, they're drawn from decades of real-world experience leading teams across four continents.

Shannon Salentine

Shannon Salentine

Executive Coach · Facilitator · Speaker · Global Health & Social Impact

Shannon Salentine has spent her career helping leaders in some of the world's most demanding environments stay whole while doing the hardest work there is. From global health systems in sub-Saharan Africa to leadership development programs in the United States, she has worked at the intersection of purpose, performance, and the deeply human side of leading.

She is the founder of Lead for Good, an executive coaching and leadership development practice focused on leaders in global health and social impact. Shannon is an ICF-certified coach and has facilitated leadership programs across six continents.

Shannon brings a deep conviction that leadership isn't something done to people, it's something done with them. Her coaching and facilitation work is grounded in co-active principles, systems thinking, and a genuine belief in the capacity of people to lead with more courage, clarity, and care.

Shannon lives in Durham, NC, with her family. She spends her time outside, in community, and doing whatever her kids are doing at the time.

Conrad Hayter

Conrad Hayter

Executive Coach · CTI Faculty · Facilitator · Entrepreneurship & Social Impact

Conrad Hayter cultivates people, plants, and ideas. He grew up on a family farm, where he learned that the most important things, the ones worth anything, take time and intention to grow. That belief has never left him. He delights in taking focused, intentional action to awaken passion in others, and he lives by the conviction that together we are stronger.

A decorated Air Force veteran, Conrad was deployed across the world installing navigation equipment to guide pilots to their destinations, from the South Pacific island of Kwajalein to the sands of Qatar. In every posting, he sought to learn from the people around him, experience new cultures, and build tight-knit, goal-oriented communities.

Conrad is the founder of The Windsock Group, a Co-Active® Coach, and a faculty member for the Co-Active® Training Institute. He is also managing partner at Nature's Select™, a biological lawn care company. Conrad brings more than a decade of entrepreneurship and advanced degrees in Systems Electronics, Agri-business Management, and Supply Chain Management to his work with leaders and teams.

Conrad lives in Chapel Hill, NC, where he spends his free time exploring the world, collecting bourbon, volunteering, and reconnecting with nature. He loves to help teams connect, be outside, and eat chocolate chip cookies, not necessarily in that order.
